How To:

Finding your way around or figuring out how to contribute and make the most of this Convention might be a little confusing at first so here are some navigation instructions and general tips.

General Tips

Navigation

  • When in doubt go to the Menu Bar Directly under 'The End is FAR' Logo and 'The Online Constitutional Convention' tagline at the top of the page.
    • Placing the mouse over a Menu Tab without clicking will reveal if there are SubMenus below.  Most will have submenus for easy navigation.
    • NOTE:  Clarification and Restoration Forums with an '*' are Open for members to Start Discussions.
  •
  • Home will take you back to the main page.  It also has SubMenus to 'Introduction', 'Mission', 'Terms of Service', 'FAQ', and this page 'How To'.
  •
  • Clarification is for the Forums that pertain to clarifying the Founder's intent to serve as a foundation for Restoration.  'Open' is for non specific topics or to petition for a Categorized discussion that has not yet begun.
    • Most Categorized Discussions must be started by a Moderator so that we can maintain some order.  If you don't see a discussion taking place that you feel needs addressing, use the Open Forum to get it started.  We can assign the proper category once under way.
  •
  •  Restoration is for the Forums that pertain to putting our common (Clarified) knowledge to work to Restore the Inalienable Rights and Limited Government described in our Founding Documents.
  •
  • Workshops are the discussions within each forum put into a logical format.  Example:  The Declaration of Independence and US Constitution with each of their clauses linked to the proper discussion.  The Etymology Workshop is in alphabetical order.  As we add more workshops, they will be set up in similar fashion.
  •
  • Blogs are completely Open Forum.  They can be searched, but will not appear in the Forums.  Great for having a Side Bar discussion, or whatever.  It's your playground.
    • Chat is open for chat, but we're looking into how to make the best use of it.
  •
  • Events are currently open to everyone to contribute to.  We want to know about your Tea Party events/meetings, Libertarian, D&R, parades, BBQ's, picnics, etc.  Shaking hands & kissing babies is a great way to Unite.
  •
  • Videos are a great way to pass information and sometimes get a laugh.  Currently open to encourage contributions without moderation.  Keep them clean an informative so we can keep it that way.
  •
  • Invite ALL your contacts (Email, FaceBook, Twitter, etc).  TEiF has a strict NO SPAM policy, we will not SPAM your friends and colleagues.  The Constitution needs to be understood be everyone, not just a few of us to tell the others about it.  Knowing your rights doesn't help if no one else does.
  •
  • MY PAGE is YOUR personal space.  Fix it up as you like for show or leave it blank.  Great member pages will be showcased (with permission of course).
